Update

Deadlock: improvements, Overwolf and Meta Tracker

Everything that has shipped in Octarine for Deadlock since October 7: six new combos and a reworked combo menu, auto-parry against Baba, Guardians and Haunts, and damage that's calculated the way the game does it. Plus Overwolf, with stats for every player in the match, and Meta Tracker, which shows which heroes get picked often and what their win rate is.

Auto-parry: Guardians, Haunts and Baba

Auto-parry now catches attacks from Baba, Guardians and Haunts. Heavy Melee is parried on the last safe tick.

  • Lunge range of Heavy Melee accounts for Melee Charge, Crushing Fists and Runed Gauntlets.
  • Separate settings for every attack type — FOV, reaction time and HP threshold. Reaction time only shifts the moment of the press and no longer leads to a missed hit.
  • An indicator above the hero or on the ground shows in advance what is about to be parried.
  • No wasted presses — parry isn't triggered while your own attack would cancel it, and isn't pressed again once the hit has already been caught. A camera feint no longer baits the parry out early.

For Haunts, you can set how many of them have to be attacking, and save the parry while an enemy hero is nearby.

Guardians now have timers above them: when the next attack lands and how long the stun from a parry will last. Dodger has a new option that keeps only the heroes from the current match in the list.

Overwolf: the whole match on one card

Overwolf helps you understand who you're playing with and against. It puts the stats of every player in the match on one card: rank, win rate, KDA, accuracy, headshot rate, damage and souls per minute, recent form, favourite heroes and damage in the current match. You can see at a glance who's carrying your team, who's in a party, which opponents to watch out for and which heroes they play best.

Overwolf card: both teams of the match with each player's rank, win rate, KDA, accuracy, damage per minute, form and favourite heroes
  • Friend groups are marked with coloured brackets on the left, so you can see who's playing in a party.
  • Players with a suspiciously high headshot rate get a Suspect tag.
  • Right-click a player to send their stats to chat or leave a note about them.

Meta Tracker: who gets picked and who wins

Meta Tracker works right on the hero select screen. Every hero card shows that hero's win rate, pick rate and tier.

Selecting a hero opens a detailed panel: tier, win rate, pick rate, ban rate and the number of matches this season.

Six new combos

Violet

  • Still Life, Abstract Landscape, Flow State and Living Ink in one chain.
  • Flow State steers itself onto the target, and Living Ink lands right on it.
  • Flow State is guided around walls, and escape mode rides it away from the fight on its own key.

Rat King

  • Royal Pestments, Rat Swarm and Scrap Grenade, then the gun.
  • The ultimate, Rule, Ratannia!, stays manual.

Deadman Danny

  • Strix Salvo, Jettison Fuel and Close The Deal.
  • When the jetpack overheats, the combo aims the dive at the target.

Solomon

  • Rook Battery, Develop Queen and Setup Bishop, leading the target.

Baba

  • Threadsap, Granny Long Legs, Baba's Brew and Feed The Birds.
  • During Granny Long Legs, Baba drives up and slams the ground, and at low HP kicks the target away.
  • Baba's Brew gives you or an ally Barrier at low HP, and hits enemies with Silence or Burn.
  • Abilities you start by hand are picked up and finished by the combo.

Graves

  • Grasping Hands in the target's path, Jar of Dead as they rise, then Borrowed Decree.

Celeste: updated combo

  • Bullets are led along an arc that accounts for ricochets off floors and walls, and Radiant Daggers are thrown with lead.
  • Light Eater and Radiant Daggers are now part of the chain.

New combo menu

  • A hero's abilities are shown as tiles in the order they're used, and you can change that order.
  • Items are tiles too, sorted by purpose automatically.
  • You can set up any hero's menu in advance, without playing them.

Your previous item choices have been reset to the new defaults — check your settings for your heroes.

Damage calculated like the game does

Last hits, the aimbot and combos now see the same damage the game does: with fractional values, resists and everything that reduces them.

  • Mystic Burst, Tankbuster, Spellcaster's Emblem, Abstract Landscape, Golden Statues, runes and more than three hundred other effects are taken into account.
  • More accurate damage for weapons and for abilities that deal weapon damage: Venator, Deadman Danny, Rat King, Haze, Paradox.
  • Enhanced and Corrupted item versions, the Express Shot proc and Opening Rounds are taken into account.
  • Spirit Power stolen by Threadsap is counted on the target, on Baba and in her bullets.
  • Spirit Sap, Focus Lens, Patron's Blessing and Vitality investment no longer add extra Spirit Power or resist.
  • A target under Cheat Death no longer wastes the time of the aimbot, last hits and combos.

Ranges and radii also come straight from game data and account for items — zones are fixed for Infernus, Yamato, Abrams, Ivy, Pocket, Paradox, McGinnis, Vindicta and others. Movement abilities aren't used when the game blocks them.

Aimbot: around cover

  • Living Ink, Threadsap and Card Trick are guided mid-flight around cover and through Cosmic Veils.
  • Violet's Living Ink is also guided by the aimbot with aggressive pSilent.
  • An ignore enemies in stealth option (Shadow Weave, Smoke Bomb and others) for the aimbot and combos, respecting presets.
  • Bullet Velocity accounts for items, buffs and Express Shot, so the lead is more accurate.
  • Lead on running creeps, and Graves's Ghouls and Deadheads are now targets.
  • Anti-aim no longer interferes with Haze's Bullet Dance.

Presses without misses or repeats

  • Abilities are no longer pressed twice or lost while the hero is busy.
  • Items are used one at a time and no longer open targeting mode instead of being used.
  • Hero-targeted and lobbed items go where the camera is looking.
  • The combo confirms abilities in targeting mode instead of cancelling them.
  • The combo no longer refuses to hit a visible target.
  • Last hits, Bloodletting and Steal Life no longer press the key every frame.
  • Infernus, Victor, Pocket and Yamato no longer lose tempo between abilities.

Soul stealing and Sinner's Sacrifice

  • Shooting souls is more reliable.
  • Violet accounts for Living Ink's speed and doesn't waste it on souls.
  • Sinner's Sacrifice gets a jackpot dial and an auto-finish.

ESP and indicators

  • Previews of creatures in "Behind walls" and health bars in the game's style.
  • New crate types and an "Icons" marker shape.
  • Graves's Ghouls and Deadheads are drawn as summons.
  • Assigning a key shows where it's already in use.
  • Toggles in headers and icons on options, including Dash-jump.
  • Panels keep their place when you change resolution or scale.

Stability

  • Abilities and items update right after you sell an item or switch heroes.
  • Cooldowns are tracked more accurately, including resets from Echo Shard and Refresher.
  • Icons no longer disappear, and errors in the game's UI no longer break Octarine.
